PAS tells Najib to go and fly kite.....

PAS has flatly rejected Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's call for the party to ditch Pakatan Rakyat and join the BN ruling coalition. Vice-president Salahuddin Ayub also called Najib's suggestion “poison words” and a “very clear move to divide us”.

“It is clear that Najib is already desperate and disappointed when Muslims as well as Chinese don't support BN, as seen in the recent Sarawak election.

“PAS will not take that kind of bait. It is a decoy and it is very dangerous for us to be with Umno,” said Salahuddin, who is also the Kubang Kerian MP.

Najib had earlier invited PAS to join BN “in efforts to champion the agenda on race, religion and the nation. National news agency Bernama today reported Najib saying that time had come for PAS to break with the DAP which the PM said had clearly not fought for the cause of Islam.

However, Salahuddin says that PAS remains firmly with Pakatan Rakyat, along with DAP and PKR. Stressing that both the party grassroots as well as the top leadership share his views, he said PAS was not entertaining any such invitation.

“For sure (our members) share our struggles. We didn't fight for half a decade not knowing how Umno works.

“The fact that PAS remains with Pakatan is accepted by all levels in PAS and we have always brought this up in our muktamar (annual general meeting) to strengthen our role in Pakatan,” he told Malaysiakini.

Islam's position secure in constitution

Rubbishing Najib's statements that DAP would not champion the cause of Islam, Salahuddin said that the position of Islam as the official religion of the country is already guaranteed in the federal constitution.

“Even if Pakatan takes over Putrajaya, we won't change a thing. We have already affirmed in our Pakatan convention that we will uphold the position of the Malay rulers who are the head of the Islamic religion in all states.

It has nothing to do with DAP and we won't change a thing when we are in power. It is naive of Najib to say that DAP will be an obstacle to Islam.
“So we want to thank Najib for his offer, but we'll stick with Pakatan,” said Salahuddin.

Meanwhile, former Perak MB Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin tweeted, “PAS has no business with BN except to oust them out of Putrajaya! Najib is now completely desperate after allowing 'XXX' VCDs to flood BN media.”

PAS vice president Mahfuz Omar on the other hand went further, calling for BN to sack Umno instead.

"Umno is desperate. Invite PAS to join BN only when other component parties in BN are not supporting Umno. It is time for BN to sack Umno out from the coalition," the Pokok Sena MP said in a tweet.

The issue of PAS working with the ruling coalition has been around since the 2008 general elections when Umno floated the idea of a 'unity government' between them and PAS. PAS was deeply divided over the sentiment back in 2009 with many of its leaders in the conservative faction - notably president Abdul Hadi Awang and deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa - flirting with the idea.

On the other hand, spiritual adviser Nik Aziz Nik Mat, backed by an army of a more moderate faction calling themselves the Erdogan faction after the moderate Turkish Prime Minister, had slammed the door shut on the idea.

Anwar - Umno men drunkards, philanderers and womanisers....

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim lashed out last night by calling Umno leaders alcoholics and philanderers, hours after Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah took an oath against the opposition leader.

Shazryl performed the “sumpah laknat” oath yesterday by swearing in God’s name that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is the man featured in a sex video recently shown to journalists. The unedited sex video was also uploaded last Thursday to video sharing website YouTube.

“When I came in, I could see that you were looking at my face and my stomach,” Anwar joked when addressing to a huge crowd in Ampang here. There, he continued to attack Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, blaming the two as the masterminds behind Barisan Nasional’s (BN) dirty politics of pornography.

“Najib and Rosmah are practising filth politics and pornography. Where in the history of the countries, including the Malay and Muslim world, where leaders are willing go to an extent most despicable and obscene for the sole reason of retaining power,” he said.

Anwar said Umno was willing to use dirty tactics to divert attention from real issues such as the economy and public welfare.

“What they want to focus on is the sex video and [sodomy accuser Mohd] Saiful [Bukhari Azlan’s anus]. Why type of politics is this?

“Why do they want to attack Pakatan Rakyat till the end? Because they cannot fight back the issues that we bring forth to the people,” he said.

Anwar said he had been the acting prime minister and deputy president of Umno, and was well aware of the reputation of Umno leaders.

“They want to talk about Islam but there are not certain yet of performing their prayers. Ask them to stop drinking (alcohol) first.

“They want people to take oath but tell them to not rape anymore,” he said, insinuating at former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik’s previous run-in with the authorities.

In 1994, Abdul Rahim was charged with statutory rape involving a minor. Although the charge was later dropped by authorities, who cited insufficient evidence, the scandal had cost Abdul Rahim his political career. Rahim together with Shazryl and Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim form “Datuk T”, the nickname the trio behind the latest sex scandal have adopted.

Anwar also criticised Umno-owned newspaper Utusan Malaysia and television station TV3 for exploiting the sex video.

“I am also a human being. I have emotions and dignity. I have my wife, children and grandchildren. If we want to talk about the past then please settle the murder case (Altantuya Shaariibuu). Settle the case of stealing another person’s wife,” he said. The marriage to Rosmah is Najib’s second.

During a March 24 press conference, three days after revealing the video, Rahim said it was exposed to show “a man who wants to be prime minister is not qualified.”

On April 18, Shazryl said he would take sole responsibility for the sex video screening when responding to a statement made by

Federal CID deputy chief Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani that police had concluded their investigation into the sex video. The police are investigating the trio under section 292 of the Penal Code for screening pornographic material.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said on Tuesday the probe was still ongoing but was confident the police would resubmit investigation papers to the Attorney-General by this week. The A-G had earlier returned the papers to the police.

Anwar has accused Najib of using the ongoing sex video saga as his main weapon to keep BN in government.

What offence has Anwar committed? Why is he being hounded...

The scandalous porno tape, used in desperation to implicate Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim allegedly engaging in sex with a prostitute in order to turn the tide in favour of the Barisan Nasional during the Sarawak election, refuses to fade away even after the Sarawak election.

It was a widely publicised news item and – according to some reports – the tape was even distributed in the longhouses in Sarawak to disparage and demean Anwar and present the opposition in poor light to gain political mileage for BN.

The police declared that the tape was genuine. The people were made to feel that very soon the sordid episode would be unravelled and the person in the tape exposed. The various statements in the public domain created the perception that it was Anwar in the porno tape. The police conveyed the impression that it was a matter of time before Anwar was exposed as the owner of the Omega watch stolen by the prostitute. The Omega watch seemed to be the most important missing link to establish Anwar’s identity.

But to their utter disappointment there was no record of the purchaser in Taiwan, where the watch was apparently bought. The missing link went missing and they were no nearer the truth. Now they say ‘they will not hesitate to expose to the public if necessary “the performer” in the sex video who allegedly resembled opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.’ In other words, what they are saying is tantamount to the fact that they have identified “the performer” but they are not inclined to expose “the performer” unless it was necessary to do so.

The Malaysian public is rightly confused. What is meant by unless it was necessary? Why then did they go to such great length to find out the owner of the Omega watch? You took the trouble to trace the watch all the way to Taiwan. What was the purpose? Wasn’t it to link “the performer” to the watch so that you can definitely identify “the performer” and expose him?

If it wasn’t necessary to identify “the performer” why is Anwar being harassed? He was called to give his statement a second time yesterday (28 April 2011). Unless you have irrefutable evidence that the character in the video is indeed Anwar, there was no necessity to ask him to report to Dang Wangi district police headquarters. Is it because they want to keep this shameful episode alive?

It is as though there is no other worthwhile issue in this country for the media to comment on and for our political leaders to discuss. Have we become so depraved that sex scandals have to hog the limelight and take up so much of the nation’s time and attention?

Malaysians have a right to be sceptical about the whole sordid affair. It is evident that there is a concerted effort to finish off Anwar in the interest of the Barisan Nasional. He is the only person standing in their way who can prevent the BN’s continued reign in Putrajaya. That being the case, would it not be logical to expose Anwar right now?

But why aren’t they doing it? Is it because “the performer” in the video is a pretender?! If it was Anwar, they would have gone to town with this information during the Sarawak election to disparage and destroy the opposition with one stroke. The print and electronic media and the blogs and websites would be gleefully swarmed with this news for days on end. But that is not happening!

But they are dragging their feet in this affair for far too long even though there doesn’t seem to be much hope of unearthing the truth. Why are they spending so much time with regard to Anwar when there is a simple, straightforward issue at their doorstep crying for a remedy?

The terrible Datuk Trio who were in possession of a pornography video should have been charged by now. The terrible Datuk Trio should be facing the music for screening a pornographic show to the public. With so much irrefutable evidence against the trio staring at and challenging the police, why is there so much foot-dragging? Why is there a reluctance to take action to punish those who screened a pornographic video? What is holding up the police and the Attorney-General?

Karpal Singh had rightly pointed out that prostitution is not an offence but using the premises for prostitution or living off the earnings of a prostitute is an offence. According to Karpal, “Whomsoever solicits or importunes for the purpose of prostitution or any immoral purpose in any place shall be punished with imprisonment…” If that is the law, where does Anwar fit into this? What offence is he guilty of?

A report has it that the police have located the place where the sex act took place and identified the prostitute. Why haven’t they taken action against the owner of the premises for allowing his place to be used for “immoral purpose”? Why haven’t they taken action against the person who procured the services of the prostitute? The villains plotting to crucify Anwar have been identified; their involvement in this sordid affair has been established. Why are we not moving in on them? - P Ramakrishnan is president of Aliran

Apa salah Anwar? Kenapa terus menerus dia difitnah?

Here's what dingy got to say....

The white strip in Thai with Bangkok address is to show that Eskay had lied. Somebody in Thailand had uploaded in the YouTube to tell the Malaysian public that the sex act was done in Thailand with Eskay, who looks like Anwar, as the actor.

It was done to frame Anwar. The director, the 2nd man, directed the act. The tape given to the police is not the only copy. Somebody had already made copies before Eskay gave the tape to the police.

The first and yesterday's upload was done in Thailand while the 2nd was done by somebody who had the copy in Malaysia. The police, in the eye of the public and the world, made themselves look stupid.

Eskay takes religious oath..

Businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah took an oath (sumpah laknat) that he was in the sex video along with Anwar Ibrahim and that Anwar was the man having sex with a woman in the video at about 4.15pm today. He was accompanied by Rahim Thamby Chik and Shuib Lazim who screened the video to journalists alongside Eskay on Mar 21.

The two, however, did not take the oath.

“If I had committed slander then Allah would lay a curse on me,” he said in the presence of about 100 including PKR representatives.

The trio was seen wearing bullet-proof vests and arrived with light strike force police escorts. They were whisked away within minutes after the event, with journalists who attempted to ask questions being shoved roughly aside, resulting in a small scuffle.

One of the questions asked was why the other two did not also take the oath. They were taken out of the mosque by burly men who yelled, “Tepi, tepi” (move aside), while police attempted to close the only entrance that was open to keep the media inside the mosque.

Prior to the oath-taking, Eskay who was dressed in a maroon shirt and holding a copy of the al-Quran, was approached by a 'pendakwah bebas' (unaffliated religious scholar) who tried to advise him against taking oath. The scholar, Firdaus Fikri, told Eskay that chapter an-Nur states that a person accusing someone of adultery without proof can be punished with 80 lashes of the whip.

“It is in the Quran that you are holding if you open it,” he said. Firdaus told Eskay that the oath he is taking does not automatically mean that his accusations were true.

“I have fulfilled my responsibility of advising you,” he said, after Eskay thanked him.

He also handed Eskay a book on qazaf. Eskay had taken his oath about three hours later than scheduled, when a near-stampede broke out in the mosque.

Are the men of blue purveyors of pornography....

Last night, four video clips featuring a sex romp by a man resembling Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was uploaded to the YouTube video-sharing website. The clips were taken down within hours as it went against the website’s terms and conditions for showing explicit sex acts and nudity. Another link to a pornographic website was also given in an email to major news organisations but the site is blocked under Malaysian laws.

The question is, how did these video clips get on to the Internet?

The trio behind the first screening of the video clip in Carcosa Seri Negara on March 21 claimed they possess the only solitary recording of the sex act. Calling themselves Datuk T, they also said there were four cameras found and a recording device.

They later handed over the original copy of the video to the police. Yet, parts of the video with Thai wordings first appeared on YouTube on April 3, three days before nomination day for the Sarawak state election.

No one admitted to uploading the video clip. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar denied the video clip was leaked by the police, saying, “Of course, it did not come from us. How can I allow such a thing.” He also said “It was ‘Datuk T’ who said that there was one copy of the video. But, we do not know if it is the truth. You should ask them.”

The trio are not saying anything except that they will take full responsibility for screening the video. They are former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and ex-Perkasa treasurer Datuk Shuib Lazim.

Apart from a run-around of taking DNA samples from Shazryl, making a big deal of an Omega watch of unknown provenance and getting experts to identify the main actor in the video clip, the police have done precious little in this case except passing the investigation papers to and from the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

What is the crime here? Screening a pornographic video or a man having sex? And with that, a vicious campaign of leaking a video clip to bring down a politician without even proving he is the man caught in flagrante delicto. The men in blue have done their job but with the latest release of more video clips, they have turned everyone into men of blue or purveyors of pornography.

The Attorney-General has to either charge the men with possessing pornography or close the case. Any other innuendo, by police or the prosecutors, to reveal the man in the video is not necessary unless there is a political agenda to it. After last night, and with provocative titles such as Papa Nurul Izzah II, it appears to confirm the political agenda behind the Datuk T revelation.

They want Anwar out of politics as he is a threat to the ruling coalition’s political dominance. They want to ensure Nurul Izzah is also out because it’s young politicians like her who are the future of this country.

The brief glimpse of the video clips on YouTube means they want Anwar tried in a court of public opinion and buried in the next general election. Perhaps it might be that or the reverse. Until then, the prosecutors have to throw the book at the Datuk T trio. And those who uploaded the videos on YouTube. Or be seen as part of a plot to end Anwar and Izzah’s political careers.

Unedited sex video posted on YouTube....

More clips of the sex video allegedly depicting opposition leader and PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim have surfaced on Youtube. The four clips, lasting between 4-minutes to 4:24 minutes, resembles the 22-minute video shown to journalists on March 21 at the Carcosa Seri Negara hotel.

This is the third time portions of the sex video have been leaked on-line, but unlike the first two times, the four new clips contains explicit sex acts. However, the video posted by user "rabiaab11" has been taken down late last night due to the website's policy on "nudity or sexual content".

Based on the information on Youtube, the user posted the four videos between 2pm to 6pm yesterday. The video featured several sex acts, including a scene where the woman performed oral sex on the man. Unlike the clips that appeared on April 4 and on Wednesday, which were about 1:45 seconds long, the four clips posted by 'rabiaab11' were much longer.

However, the four video clips had the same white strip across the footage with the words "Phaholyothin Road, Bangkok, Thailand 10400, Copyright 2011" in Thai script.

The second video released did not have the white strip and instead had a time stamp dated February 21, 2011 with the time 22:43 instead, similar to the one that was shown to journalist at Carcosa Seri Negara by businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah. Shazryl later admitted that he, together with former Melaka chief minister Rahim Thamby Chik and former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim are responsible for screening the video.

The three of them have been under police investigation for possession and distribution of pornographic material. Meanwhile, Anwar has firmly denied that he was the man in the video, lodging a police report in the process.

An unedited sex video allegedly featuring Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was uploaded earlier today on YouTube, adding pressure on the opposition leader who has so far denied he is the man in the recording. The video recording was divided into four parts and lasts approximately four minutes and 28 seconds.

In the video, a woman is initially seen performing oral sex on a man resembling Anwar. The two are then seen having sex for about five minutes. The unedited recording released today also included two teasers that had been released earlier this week. YouTube later removed the recording because it violates the site’s policy on nudity and sexual content.

The full 21-minute recording was first aired to reporters at the prestigious Carcosa Seri Negara hotel last month by a man who identified himself as “Datuk T”.

Anwar denies seeing second 'teaser'

NONEOpposition leader and PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim said that he had not watched the second "teaser" of the sex video which allegedly features a nude man resembling him.

"I and (PKR president and his wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail), all we saw was what was in the public media because it is a crime to watch pornography and to distribute it, and it is also wrong in syariah law," said Anwar.

He was speaking to reporters at the compound of the Dang Wangi district police station after giving his statement for about an hour on the sex video.

Anwar, together with Dr Wan Azizah, had lodged a police report last month, just a day after footage from the video was shown to journalists at Carcosa Seri Negara in Kuala Lumpur. It featured a man resembling Anwar having sex with a woman claimed to be a prostitute. The opposition leader has vehemently denied he was the man involved.

However, two short clips of the video have surfaced on the Internet, believed to be the beginning and the end segments of the 22-minute video with the latest one uploaded yesterday.

"I have said since the beginning, that there is criminal intimidation against me and (Wan Azizah) to resign, so it is clear that there is political motive from Umno," said Anwar.

'Video is Najib's main strategy'

He later added that the video was Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's main strategy against Pakatan Rakyat and PKR.

"Yes, it is his main strategy as well as other instruments of power, such as the media of TV3, Utusan Malaysia and the courts. They can't fight us on other issues like corruption and governance, so they have to resort to this dirty, scurrilous attacks on people's characters," said Anwar.

The brief six-minute press conference in the police headquarters also became heated with some fiery exchanges between him and a female broadcast journalist, with some strange questions thrown in by other journalists.

NONEBelow are excerpts from the press conference.

Reporter: Will you be taking an oath?

Anwar:
Refer to (former Perlis mufti Asri Zainul Abidin's statements) on the law and the syariah court. According to the Islamic law, those who take this kind of oath must be free from major sins, must not drink alcohol or commit adultery.

Does this mean that you won't be taking the oath?

I was not asked by anyone to do it. Whose law are you following? Are you Muslim? Do you know whose law it is? Ok.

Did the police ask you about the Omega watch?

Another question please.

What about statements that people said that the video was made with the technique from (local film) 'Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa'?

If it's so detailed, then it's obvious that Umno and the party leaders, together with Najib, have to answer why pornography has become an important strategy to keep him and (his wife Rosmah Mansor) in power, and how he used (Malay daily Utusan Malaysia) and (pro-Umno news portal Agenda Daily) as cheap tools to commit crimes which are so dirty and vile, and how he wants to ruin a family's dignity.

What about your DNA? Businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah has given his DNA already.

Are you from TV3? What DNA do you want? What DNA do you want? What DNA do you want?

No, I want to ask you if you are willing to give your DNA if the police were to ask for it.

Don't be rude to me. Ask another question. TV3 is a cheap tool of Umno and I want you to remember that.

Do you know Shazryl Eskay?

Eskay to take oath at Masjid Amru-Al-As,Bandar Baru,Sentul....

Businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah is willing to take an oath (sumpah laknat) to prove that he is telling the truth about the sex video allegedly involving Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.

Announcing this at a press conference today, Eskay said he was ready to take the oath at a mosque in Sentul after Friday prayers tomorrow, and he invited Anwar to do so as well. He said he would do so in anticipation of being charged in court the "next few weeks".

"We will have a series of press conferences after this. We will probably be charged in the next couple... perhaps next week," he said. However, Eskay refused to explain what he would be charged with and when he was arrested, other than that it was "that day... I was bailed out with RM10,000".

"We will have a series of press conferences after this. We will probably be charged in the next few weeks," he said. Police have said that the trio can be charged with screening pornography.

Insisting on only answering questions on the oath, Eskay, who was accompanied by the other Datuk Ts - Rahim Thamby Chik and Shuib Lazim - said he would be the only one taking the oath, but that it "depends on the situation".

"We will see. I'm not a religious figure. Let the ulama decide. Whatever needs to be done, I'll be there.

"Many have asked us to take the oath, especially Utusan Malaysia, which made the statement two days ago, and many more, and we took the challenge," he said at the hastily-arranged press conference.

Rahim will not be taking the oath

Asked why Rahim and Shuib would not be taking the oath as well, Rahim replied: "(Eskay) is doing it on our behalf." Eskay said he was willing to take the oath even if Anwar did not show up.

Pressed about the second sex video clipping leaked on the Internet yesterday, Eskay insisted that he had nothing to do with it and that he believed "it was not through my friends".

Reading from a prepared statement, Eskay said he had taken the risk of screening the sex video to journalists on March 21 because “I am a Malaysian who loves my people and country”. He added: "I was willing to take the risk to expose the leader I have known since 1996. He is seen as moral, honest and sincere in his political struggle, but the truth is the opposite.

"He is clever in pretending to be pious, religious and of good character when instead these kinds of acts go beyond the norms of sanity, let alone Islamic values." Eskay added that the reason Datuk T chose to screen the video to journalists was because "we felt journalists would be more familiar with Anwar's physique, having seen (the latter) close-up".

Probably you were ill-advised by Utusan Meloya!

Jangan lupa bawa 4 orang saksi.

Sebagai peringatan, semasa sumpah laknat tu,tolong minta Datuk Rahim Thamby Chik mengaku yang dia bukan orang yang merogol budak perempuan bawah umur beberapa tahun yang lalu.

RCI in cahoots with MACC, accuses Teoh's sister....

The sudden postponement of the royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into the death of Teoh Beng Hock could be to 'plot' to ensure that witness statements are “consistent”.

Beng Hock's younger sister Teoh Lee Lan, who was present at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex in Jalan Duta this morning, said this as she suspects that the RCI's decision to postpone the proceedings to next week was an attempt to cover-up for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Yesterday, MACC's assistant superintendent Azeem Hafeez Jamaluddin admitted that there were instructions to cover up the role of his superior, Hishamuddin Hashim, in the investigation pertaining to an operation on irregular disbursement of state funds. Azeem had said that their orders were to “ to be consistent in statements to the police and also while testifying” during the inquest and at the RCI.

I see that nobody in the MACC speaks the truth, (it's) very obvious. If no one (had committed) murder, there would have no need for a cover-up. It was obvious during the inquest as well,” Lee Lan told reporters today. Lee Lan accompanied Mandy Ooi, Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok's secretary, who was supposed to testify before the royal panel today, along with lawyer M Manoharan. Even reporters following the RCI proceedings since it began on Feb 14 were not informed of the sudden change in plans until this morning.

'Witnesses done for the week'

The inquiry's secretariat explained that the postponement was because the inquiry has heard the testimonies of all the witnesses lined up for the week. “We will wait and see if the government wants to find the culprit,” said Lee Lan.

Beng Hock, political secretary to Seri Kembangan assemblyperson Ean Yong Hian Wah, was found dead on July 16, 2009 sprawled on the fifth-floor corridor of Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam. He was questioned overnight by MACC officers at their then-Selangor headquarters on the 14th floor of the building, over claims of state funds misuse by his employer Ean Yong.

Lee Lan also informed reporters that her older brother, Meng Kee and her father, Leong Hwee, have been subpoenaed to testify before the inquiry next week. Lee Lan complained about her father having to travel from their home town in Malacca to testify.

It is understood that representatives from mobile service providers - Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd and Maxis Communications Berhad - are in a closed-door meeting with the panel of commissioners. According to a source, the RCI is expected to wrap up its investigation by the second week of May and is expected to submit its report to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong by June 25.

The commission is investigating both the cause of Beng Hock's death and if there were any improprieties in his interrogation by the MACC.

Anwar look like this kah....

Anwar Ibrahim and his family must feel vindicated when the second snippet of the sex video implicating him hit the Internet on Wednesday. This time, the shots of the man said to resemble Anwar was clearer and it is now evident it could not have been him.

Not only was the physique of the broad-shouldered man much bulkier than the slim and fragile 63-year old Anwar, a shot that showed part of his face gave away the plot.

The 1.46-minute snippet of the 21-minute video was entitled Papa Nurul Izzah Part II. It was uploaded at 1.30pm on YouTube but has since been removed for its sexual content. It is believed the clip shows the final portion of the tape.

Ini rupa macam Anwarkah?

Btw. mana dia punya janggut?

The facial features were different, the cheeks were too puffy and the man's neck was too thick, with rolls of flesh not evident in Anwar's.

Only the hairline was somewhat similar.

Second snippet of sex clip appears online....

Another short clip of a sex video involving a man resembling opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has made its way onto the Internet. The video, titled 'Papa Nurul Izzah Part II' was uploaded at 1.30pm today on video sharing website YouTube by a user with the username 'wakparjosudorno'.

According to the user's profile, he claimed to be from Indonesia and joined the site yesterday. The 1.47-minute video shows a woman walking out of the bedroom into a bathroom and a man putting on his clothes in front of the hidden camera.

In the short footage the man, initially clad in a long towel, can be seen handing another towel to the naked woman prior to her getting into the bathroom. He then dries his lower body with the towel he is wearing, before taking it off and putting on an undershirt, a pair of underpants, pants and finally his shirt before walking into the adjoining room. The video clip was edited where the private parts of the man and the woman's naked figure was covered by a pixelised box.

No Thai script in Part 2

But unlike the first video clip released on April 4, the video was without the white strip with the words "Phaholyothin Road, Bangkok, Thailand 10400, Copyright 2011" in Thai script written on it, covering the time and date counter.

In this video clip, the time and date is clearly visible. The date reads 2011/02/21 while the time was between 22:43 and 22:45. It is believed that this clip was the end portion of the 22-minute video clip screened to journalists at Carcosa Seri Negara on March 21.

Meanwhile,PKR rallied around its de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim as the latest snippet from a "sex video" allegedly involving him was posted on YouTube today, with his family in the frontline. PKR vice-president and Anwar's eldest daughter, Nurul Izzah Anwar, maintained that the person in the video is not her father.

"My family and I stand firmly with Anwar Ibrahim, and we maintain that the actor is not Anwar.

"This latest, most disgusting effort is an attempt to destroy our fighting spirit and derail reforms so desperately needed in this nation. We shall not bow to nor be cowed by such tactics," Nurul Izzah (right) told Malaysiakini in a text message.

She later added a call to Malaysians to "rise above gutter politics".

"We call upon all our Malaysian brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers to rise above gutter politics. Let us remain strong-willed in our work to realise a better Malaysia," said Nurul Izzah, who is also the Lembah Pantai MP.

Turning the tables on the parties who had exposed the video first, Nurul Izzah also said that the ones on the wrong side of the law would be them instead.

Meanwhile, PKR communications chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the snippet would also not be the last, accusing BN of being hell-bent on destroying Anwar.

"Anyone who sees the body will know that it's not Anwar.

"As far as we are concerned, BN will continue doing this until the general election. So they need to destroy Anwar at all costs," said Nik Nazmi, who was a former political secretary to Anwar.

"We've said this from the beginning and we've been very consistent on this. Our case has not changed," he said, reiterating the party's unwavering stand on the sex video.

The video was meant to "play with people's imaginations", Nik Nazmi said, and blamed it on Umno.

Asked if the snipped aired today, which had first appeared on pro-Umno blogger Papagomo's website, meant that the sex video was in Umno's possession, Nik Nazmi replied in the affirmative.

"Of course the video has always been in Umno's hands. It doesn't take a genius to know that. "Everything has been pre-planned," he told Malaysiakini.

Sex video: Police take Eskay’s DNA sample...

Businessperson Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, one of the 'Datuk Trio' involved in releasing the infamous sex video, has given the police a sample of his DNA to assist investigations.

"I was called this morning to come in for further questioning and I have also willingly surrendered my DNA sample," he said.

Eskay, met today at the police headquarters at Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur, said he was also asked several questions "relevant to the case".

He, however, refused to disclose the nature of the questions, saying that it was merely to "tighten the case". Eskay also declined to reveal why he had to provide his DNA sample. The businessman arrived at the police headquarters at 10am this morning and left at about 1.15pm.

"I will answer all questions tomorrow at a press conference. I called you today just to tell you that I have willingly given my DNA... you know that I will always give you my cooperation," he said, smiling.

Eskay, Risda chairperson Rahim Thamby Chik and now former Perkasa treasurer Shuib Lazim had on March 21 aired the video to journalists at luxury hotel Carcosa Seri Negara.

The 22-minute video shows a man who resembled Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim having sex with a woman, said to be a sex worker.

'Why hasn't Eskay been arrested?'

In related development, DAP Parliamentary Leader Lim Kit Siang has slammed deputy police chief Khalid Abu Bakar for his threat yesterday to expose the sex video 'performer'. According to Lim, the more pressing matter is why the trio have not been charged for the public screening of obscene material.

“The public are outraged and aghast that, after more than a month, Datuk T…have not been charged in court for various crimes…(to) which they had confessed more than a month ago,” he said. By ignoring this, he said, the police are lending credence to suspicion that the force is working hand in glove with the BN.

“There are Umno-BN elements who want to play 'political games' with the sex tape but why should the police compromise its image and reputation by descending so low as to be co-opted into the cast of Umno-BN theatrics against Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar?”

Lim also questioned why the police have been silent over the open letter by its former Kuala Lumpur criminal investigations department chief Mat Zain Ibrahim who claimed that there was another sex video linked to Anwar in 1999. The retired officer said there was reason to believe that the first video which he had investigated 12 years ago is linked with the one screened in March.

“Why is there total silence from Inspector-General of Police Ismail Omar and the deputy IGP (over) the past 10 days (following) Mat Zain's open letter dated April 18, when the duo are so prepared to comment on various matters under the sun?” asked Lim.

Polis mahu lindungi Datuk T, usaha kenakan Anwar

Eskay beri polis sampel DNA

Video seks: Eskay beri polis sampel DNA

1. What is the purpose of Eskay's DNA and how relevant is it to the video clip? Maybe to prove Anwar's DNA is on the Omega watch.

2. By asking Eskay to provide his DNA,is the Police trying to entice Anwar to provide his DNA too?

3. But, my RM 1 million question is why Eskay hasnt been held for the making, showing and distributing of porno video, though he surrendered voluntarily to the police.

4. Did Police took DNA sample from the china doll?

5. Yesterday,Police said that they will not hesitate to expose to the public if necessary “the performer” in the sex video. Maybe the Police will issue a statement soon that the Police will arrest Eskay,Rahim Thamby Chik and Shuib Lazim if necessary.

Any idiot can tell that the Police are playing politics here...

BN won Sarawak with notes not votes....

Analysts here agreed that money politics and widespread election irregularities contributed greatly to Barisan Nasional’s (BN) success in the just-concluded Sarawak polls. Speaking at a forum here last night, they related how BN had not mobilised its party machinery to campaign in the polls but instead made full use of both federal and state government resources to canvass for votes.

In the interiors, said the analysts who were also in Sarawak as observers, eye-witnesses told of vote-buying from as low as RM20 to some, and for others, up to hundreds or even thousands, depending on their geographic location. Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has also complained of vote-rigging, claiming the campaign had not been a level playing field for all contesting parties.

BN, claimed the opposition, had not only completely mobilised both state and federal Cabinet minister but also made use of departments like Kemas, Jasa, Information Department and Welfare Department to become campaigners and agents during the polls. The Malaysian Insider understands that BN’s federal government election machinery alone had cost over RM500 million for the 10-day campaign period.

According to PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli, there were also reports that Kemas and Jasa officers were made to camp out in longhouses several days before the April 16 polling day to distribute funds. There were numerous other complaints made against the Election Commission (EC) over vote tampering, the sudden blackout at a vote tallying centre, the EC’s refusal to allow a recount and its failure to provide copies of the Form 14 to party polling agents.

Political scientist Wong Chin Huat described the electoral discrepancies as a “scourge”, adding that BN’s had drawn much of its success from exploiting its role in government.

This election was not won by counting votes alone but by counting notes as well,” he told a Merdeka Center forum on the Sarawak polls, last night. He noted that BN candidates and politicians had depended on both private and public funds to woo voters and made use of the civil service to help them in their campaign. Government agencies and departments, he claimed, were made to organise and attend daily programmes with voters across the hornbill state.

It was a non-level playing field. Did you know that even the EC was used extensively... they were giving out BN leaflets to voters along with ballot papers! he complained.

Wong also argued that the EC had deliberately blocked legitimate Sarawak-born citizens from voting as postal voters, resulting in an “unfair” reflection of the people’s support for the opposition.

“There are so many Sarawakians living elsewhere, whether in the peninsula or in Singapore or abroad but there were no postal ballots given for the Sarawak diaspora. “Many of these voters living outside the state do not have the funds to return just to vote. How can you expect them to fly home just for this?” he said.

Wong noted that unlike many from the peninsula who worked in East Malaysia, those from Sarawak forced to find jobs in the peninsula were often employed in low-paying jobs. “I think that the EC is probably guilty of being anti-East Malaysia. This is a serious issue of how they are denying East Malaysians their voting rights. “We have complained numerous times but no action taken,” he added.

Wong predicted that this will likely continue in the coming general election. “East Malaysians will not have much say. The elections are merely run so that the incumbent can be re-elected and not so that the voters can choose their leaders,” he said.

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) lecturer Dr Faisal Syam Hazis agreed that election irregularities had boosted BN’s win in the polls, adding that it had also fuelled political patronage, particularly among the rural voters.

“Especially for those living in the interiors... the Muslim Bumiputeras for example, they have this respect towards authority, this fear of being marginalised, of losing political power... the low level of political consciousness,” he said.

Faisal alleged that BN campaigners had given cash handouts to voters in many seats where they felt threatened. “Some of the voters complained that ‘barang naik’ (prices went up) but the payments were still the same as the previous polls, at RM20.

They complain but RM20 was enough to buy their votes. If you talk to many of the rural Malays, even those who are being deprived from development, they say — we go to a government hospital so how can we go and vote against the government? “And that is patronage... the distribution of money only accentuates that,” he said.

Unimas Associate Professor Dr Andrew Aeria echoed the view that money politics and questionable campaign tactics had been employed during the 10-day campaign in Sarawak. “It was a case of PKR versus the federal and state government. There were 4Ms this time — money, media, machinery and muscle,” he said.

He noted that BN had used threats to convince voters to elect them into power. “They said — if you do not vote for us, we will pull back our services,” he said.

BN cruised to a thumping victory on April 16 when it garnered 55 of the 71 state seats up for grabs in the hornbill state. But PR still made inroads with its 15-seat victory, noting that despite being up against BN in an imbalanced competition, it had managed to more than double its seat representation in the state assembly.

Sodomy II - 'Nothing improbable, incredible or doubtful'....

The prosecution in the Anwar Ibrahim Sodomy II trial submitted at the end of its case that the evidence adduced is credible for the court to safely accept and call for his defence. Solicitor-General II Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden (left) said there is no break in the chain of evidence with regard to the exhibits that may affect its integrity.

"With regard to the expert witnesses, it has been shown from the evidence adduced that not only are they competent in conducting the examination and analysis they have been tasked with, they have explained and also given their reasons for such findings or opinions," he said. He added that the witnesses and evidence adduced, being given maximum evaluation, would not suffer any infirmities to be rejected.

"There is nothing improbable, incredible or doubtful for the court not to feel safe to accept and act upon. They are credible witnesses giving credible evidence," Yusof said.

"A prima facie case as described by all the authorities has been made out against the accused which can only be overthrown by evidence in rebuttal. We pray that the accused to be called to enter his defence on the charge against him," he concluded.

Earlier, Yusof rebutted the argument put forward by Karpal Singh, that the failure to call Pusrawi doctor Dr Mohd Osman Abdul Hamid was fatal, by claiming that what the doctor had said was not true (regarding that a plastic object was introduced into complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's anus).

Karpal charged that Osman should have been called as the prosecution witness, and his absence left a very serious gap in the prosecution's case.

"The document is only marked as ID (for identification, not as exhibit [evidence]) It cannot be accepted as evidence. Saiful did complain to Osman, but the fact was he (Saiful) had not lodged a police report there and then.

"Saiful only lodged a report after being asked by Osman to go to the government hospital," said Karpal.

Yusof also said that Ram Karpal's assertion the two chemists were biased could not hold water.

"The court should look at the whole evidence during the examination-in-chief, cross-examination and re-examination. All of the doubts raised in the cross-examination has been dealt with during re-examination.

"It was proven that semen was found and it belonged to Anwar," he said.

Saiful: Credible or otherwise?

Karpal(right) in reply asked whether Saiful's evidence was credible or if he was a credible witness as there were many opportunities for him to run or call for help but did not do so.

"Let us assume 'Male Y' is the accused but the question is: Can the evidence of the complainant be believed to be credible?" he asked.

"What transpired on June 27 (the day after the alleged sodomy act) is crucial as Saiful was at the PKR office and then at Anwar's house but he later met Mumtaz Jaafar and Ezam Md Noor (former PKR youth chief and now senator).

"Mumtaz and Ezam were not called by the prosecution as witnesses. There is also Saiful's testimony that Mumtaz had advised him against making a report. But what led him to change his mind?" he asked, saying this was never explained.

Karpal said Osman should have been called to answer over the medical report which stated a plastic object had been introduced into Saiful's anus.

"Evidence led does not prove 'Male Y' is the accused. Ram Karpal had gone through great lengths and that the evidence of chemist Dr Seah Lay Hong should be excluded," he said.

"What the court has is Seah's evidence, which corroborates with what was said, but Ram Karpal had suggested the fallacy of the findings. Hence, to suggest 'Male Y' is the accused is untenable. What the court has is prejudicial evidence," he stressed.

Tremendous degradation

Sankara Nair(left) reiterated for the defence that the samples were only given after 97 hours to the chemist.

"Are we to believe the chemist's testimony wholeheartedly that she found semen and sperm after all those hours? It certainly defies logic as the sample had undergone tremendous degradation by then," he asked

He said medical literature suggests that semen or sperm cannot last such a long time without being placed in the freezer.

"We have evidence from investigating officer DSP Jude Blacious Pereira that the samples retrieved from Saiful were merely kept in the drawer and not in a freezer.

"Furthermore, there is a possibility of tampering of the samples as "an opportunity was there and it could have been done."

Sankara also pointed out that no tear was found on Saiful's anus although the complainant had alleged that he had felt pain during the sexual act.

Saiful had said: "Dia laju dan rakus dan saya rasa sakit sikit." (Anwar was fast and rough and I felt pain). - Hafiz Yatim
